Being a health awareness week, I could not have let it go without talking about female health.

‘A women’s health is her capital’.

Many times simple signs will be suffered in silence and ignored, leading to major health issues.

Below are simple ways to look after it:

  1. Dress it loose
  • Use soft cotton breathing underpants so the place is left dry. Moisture promotes bacterial growth.
  • Avoid tight fitting briefs , it can cause local irritation.
  • Change your garments after workout,
    -If you have lot of discharge change your garments twice a day
  • At night forgiving totally helps your private parts to breath better

2. Hygiene is must

  • Use Luke warm water to clean, don’t use too harsh products, if can affects the PH balance
  • There are some products in market which are PH balanced so if you are specific about washing with soap you can try these products

3. Hair removal

It’s always a big question which is better method of hair removal? however is there is best method, it varies with everyone preference. But some-people would develop rashes and swelling after shaving and would be difficult to manage while growth, so avoid to prevent friction injury, hair removal creams may have high chemicals so be careful while using in very sensitive areas.

4. Menstrual care

  • Try to change your pads and tampons very often may be every 4 hours depending on flow,
  • Tampons if left and forgotten can lead to catastrophic health situation so be careful.
  • wash your area every time you change pads .

4. Regular Gynaecological health checks

  • Get regular screening tests(PAP smear) often many women are non compliant
  • discuss with your doctor regarding HPV vaccine and etc.

does not only do good for overall health but also good for reproductive health.
