Basic life support
Is the immediate care given to someone who is in life threatening medical emergency.
Example: Cardiac arrest ( heart has stopped beating or they are not breathing).
Providing this support before medical help arrives can be life saving step in somebody’s life.
Recognising chocking
Observe the person, if you see sudden change while eating, unable to speak, cough or breathe.
Encouraging coughing in mild chocking, performing back blows, abdominal thrusts ,call emergency service immediately, starting CPR can be life saving.
Recognising anaphylaxis / allergic reaction
Skin changes ( itching, hives, swelling of lips eyes throat tongue )
Breathing problems(coughing, wheeze, breathing problems)
Fainting, Confusion
Look for any allergy wrist band
Calling emergency service immediately can save their LIFE.
